Nate Solov is a Capitol insider with over 23 years of legislative and lobbying experience and whose relationships with legislators, staff, and the Governor’s office allow him to achieve results for clients.
Nate is well respected in the legislature and administration for his knowledge, work ethic and ability to find compromise and get results. With over 17 years in the legislature, Nate staffed more than 125 bills and, as chief of staff, helped Senator Hill get the most bills signed into law of any legislator at the time. As a chief of staff in the Assembly and Senate, Nate helped broker deals on many high-profile legislative reforms, managed communications and political strategy, and successfully secured millions in budget funding for local programs. As a lobbyist for over five years, he’s capitalized on his relationships to help clients advance their interests.

Helped the nation’s leading broadband installer get two bills signed to streamline permitting and construction processes at the local government level and a third bill signed requiring local governments to allow more broadband permits to be submitted simultaneously.
Led the legislative effort to extend a state funding program that makes phone service more affordable in hard to reach parts of the state. Received bipartisan support in the legislature and was signed by the Governor.
Worked with the Governor’s Office, legislature, and Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development to help secure over $1 billion in the state budget for port infrastructure funding and hundreds of millions of dollars for zero emission vehicle funding.
Obtained more than $8 million in the budget for the CA Parkinson’s Disease Registry and expanded it into the CA Neurodegenerative Disease Registry. Saved the Parkinson’s Disease Registry when it was on the brink of expiring and made the program permanent.
Got legislation signed allowing the district to use local property tax revenue to provide free college to thousands of additional students in need. Helped the district receive state budget funding to build new student housing.
Helped the San Francisco Bay Area Water Emergency Transportation Authority secure hundreds of millions of dollars in the state budget so they could apply for funding priorities including their conversion to zero emission ferries.
Helped California’s craft distillers get legislation signed three years in a row allowing them to continue online sales and direct shipments to consumers after their COVID regulatory relief expired.
Wrote successful applications that led to state tax credits and utility discounts for a leading specialty vehicle manufacturer to expand their presence in California.
Helped the world class science and technology center secure $3 million in budget funding to support their field trip program which exposes tens of thousands of Title I students annually to STEAM education and innovation opportunities.
Helped National Elevator Inspection Services continue their collaboration with the state to improve public health and safety through elevator and escalator inspections.
Helped one of the largest installers of electric vehicle chargers improve partnerships and funding acquisition from the state and expedite permitting delays at the local government level.
Helped secure adoption of state incentives for shared charging facilities for zero-emission commercial vehicles.
